Seeking a lateral partner to lead and grow an energy tax practice in a busy Austin office of a leading international law firm. The role focuses on advising energy industry clients on federal and state tax planning, transactional tax issues, and regulatory tax matters.

The team advises clients across the energy sector on tax structuring for transactions, renewables projects, financing, and ongoing tax compliance and controversy. This is a partner-level role for an experienced tax lawyer who can both serve existing clients and develop new business.

Partner-level experience in energy tax, including transactional and regulatory matters
Proven ability to originate or bring portable client relationships and grow a practice
Bar admission in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction and strong academic credentials
Practical experience advising on federal and state tax issues, tax structuring for energy projects, and tax controversy preferred
