Seeking a partner-level lawyer to join a well-established national law firm’s Carlsbad office, focusing on tax and related litigation matters. The role combines courtroom and dispute-resolution work with tax controversy, advisory, and transactional tax issues for a mix of corporate and individual clients.

The successful candidate will take a lead role handling litigation strategy, motions and trials, and advising on complex tax positions and settlements. This is an opportunity for an experienced partner to grow or bring a portable tax practice within a platform that supports litigation and dispute work.

Admission to the California bar (or eligible to transfer) and active litigation experience.
Substantial partner- or senior associate-level experience in tax controversy, tax litigation, and related advisory work.
Proven trial or dispositive-motion experience and comfort in courtroom advocacy and contested proceedings.
Business development capability; portable practice or demonstrated ability to develop clients welcomed.
