Leading U.S. law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Houston office to lead and grow a tax-focused litigation practice. The role will handle contested tax matters in state and federal forums and work closely with transactional and regulatory colleagues on cross-disciplinary issues.

The ideal candidate will carry a strong track record of courtroom and appellate experience, be comfortable managing complex discovery and expert work, and play a visible role in client development. This is a partner-level role where building and maintaining client relationships and mentoring junior lawyers are key priorities.

Partner-level experience handling tax controversy and litigation (state and/or federal).
Proven trial and/or appellate experience and strong litigation skills (briefing, discovery, expert management).
Established client development ability; portable client relationships welcome.
Active bar admission in Texas or ability to obtain admission; JD and relevant tax qualifications.
Experience supervising teams and mentoring junior attorneys.
