Established national law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Kansas City office and strengthen a tax litigation offering. The role will focus on representing taxpayers in contested matters, with litigation and trial work in federal and state forums.

The ideal candidate will help grow a litigation-focused tax practice, collaborate with litigation and tax colleagues across the platform, and handle high-stakes disputes from motion practice through trial and appeals.

Prior partner-level or senior associate experience handling tax controversy and tax litigation matters
Proven courtroom and motion practice experience in federal and/or state tax disputes
Strong technical knowledge of tax law and dispute resolution strategies
Business development capability; portable practice or demonstrated ability to originate and grow client relationships preferred
