Our client, a premier Australian law firm with a strong national presence, is seeking a talented Lawyer or Associate to join its high-performing Real Estate practice in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to work on complex, high-profile transactions within a collaborative and supportive team environment. You will be involved in a broad range of property matters, including acquisitions and disposals, leasing, development, and financing, providing strategic advice to a diverse client base.

In this role, you will take on significant responsibility early, working closely with partners and senior lawyers on major transactions. You will be responsible for managing your own files, conducting due diligence, drafting and negotiating agreements, and providing practical, commercially focused advice. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to build lasting client relationships. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse range of real estate matters from inception to completion.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and other property documents.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and legal research.
  • Provide clear, strategic advice to clients on complex property issues.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on high-value transactions.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and client relationship management.

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with 2-5 years' post-admission experience in property law.
  • Proven experience in a reputable private practice, with a strong focus on commercial real estate.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • A proactive, commercial mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Admission to practice in Australia.
