Join the General Counsel’s Office of a national Canadian law firm in a role focused on conflicts clearance, legal-ethics review and firm-wide risk management. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and resolve potential conflicts, draft conflict-related documentation, and support lateral hires and onboarding from a risk perspective.

The role offers training and mentorship, and involves maintaining internal systems, reviewing outside counsel guidelines and supporting RFP/business-development conflict analysis. This position suits lawyers who enjoy analytical, collaborative work that applies legal reasoning to professional responsibility and operational integrity.

  • Membership in good standing with a Canadian law society
  • Experience or interest in ethics, conflicts clearance or professional responsibility (asset)
  • Fluency in English and French (required)
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort with legal technology and practice-management systems (experience with Intapp or Aderant an asset)
