Short-term (2 month) full-time hybrid engagement for an experienced banking & finance lawyer to support a major organisation in the financial services sector. The role sits within a flexible legal-resourcing team that supplies qualified lawyers to internal stakeholders and external clients on short notice.

The role requires hands-on management and negotiation of finance documentation, facility agreements and term sheets across domestic and international transactions, with a strong emphasis on commercial judgment and risk identification. You will work autonomously, engage with external advisers as needed, and be expected to integrate quickly into business-facing teams.

Minimum 7 years' post-qualification experience in banking & finance law
Proven experience negotiating finance documents, facility agreements and term sheets
Solid understanding of lending structures and finance concepts in domestic and international markets
Strong legal drafting, negotiation and commercial judgement
Ability to identify and manage regulatory and commercial risk and liaise with external advisers
Capacity to work autonomously and build relationships quickly
Current practising certificate and right to work in Australia
