Apply in confidence →Join a global law firm's flexible resourcing platform, working as an embedded consultant on secondment to corporate legal teams. This role focuses on derivatives documentation and regulatory advice within financial services.
- Draft, review, and negotiate ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes, and Confirmations for OTC derivatives.
- Advise on regulatory frameworks applicable to derivatives trading, including EMIR, Dodd-Frank, and local Australian regimes.
- Collaborate with trading, risk, and compliance teams to manage legal and regulatory risks.
- Support transaction execution from inception to close, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Provide practical, commercial advice on complex derivatives matters, including netting opinions and close-out provisions.
- Manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Qualified lawyer with current Australian practising certificate.
- Minimum 5 years' PQE in derivatives and financial services law.
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating ISDA documentation and other OTC derivative agreements.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory regimes affecting derivatives (e.g., ASIC, APRA, EMIR, Dodd-Frank).
- Proven ability to advise senior stakeholders and manage complex, high-value transactions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated commercial judgment and pragmatic problem-solving approach.
- Right to live and work in Australia.
