Short-term (4–5 month), full-time hybrid role for an experienced employment and industrial relations lawyer. You will provide senior-level advice on employee relations, regulatory compliance and complex workplace matters for a large organisation in the mining sector.

The role sits within a flexible legal resourcing team that supplies skilled lawyers to internal stakeholders on matters including collective bargaining, discrimination, regulatory engagement and policy updates. You'll work autonomously, influence senior leadership, and liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

  • Minimum 6 years' post-qualification experience in employment/industrial relations law
  • Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, modern awards, NES, discrimination laws and WHS obligations
  • Proven experience engaging with employment regulators (e.g. Fair Work Ombudsman, industrial tribunals)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations matters, collective bargaining and stakeholder negotiation
  • Commercially aware with strong risk-management, analytical and communication skills
  • Experience advising across the full employee lifecycle and working at senior leadership level
  • Ability to work autonomously and hit the ground running in a fast-paced corporate environment
  • Current practising certificate not essential; must have right to live and work in Australia
  • Available for a 4–5 month full-time, hybrid engagement in Brisbane
