Legal Consultant (Interim) — Maritime

Apply in confidence →Short-term, full-time interim role for an experienced maritime lawyer to join a client assignment in the United Arab Emirates (typically Abu Dhabi or Dubai) for approximately six months. The role involves day-to-day management of a broad range of shipping and maritime contracts.
Typical workstreams include sale and purchase of vessels, shipping services agreements, crew management arrangements, concession agreements and port services contracts. Commodities experience is advantageous but not essential.
Appointments are managed through a global legal consulting platform and include access to training, knowledge resources and professional support while on assignment. Flexible working arrangements may be possible depending on the assignment.
- 4-8 years post-qualification experience, with significant shipping/maritime practice
- Experience at a top-tier law firm for shipping work; recent in-house maritime experience desirable
- Previous experience in the Middle East and Arabic language skills preferred
- Valid practising certificate or equivalent permitting legal practice in the region
- Consultant mindset: adaptable, business-facing and able to manage assignments independently
