Short-term (3 month) full-time hybrid role based in Melbourne supporting an in-house legal team via a flexible legal-resourcing model. The role will focus on commercial disputes, assessment of legal risk, and practical contract interpretation in a business context.

You will be asked to manage contentious matters, provide pragmatic, commercial advice to senior stakeholders, and assist with franchise-related issues and regulatory questions where required. The role requires someone who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum 8 years' post-qualification experience in commercial litigation or as a general commercial lawyer with exposure to contentious matters
Experience with franchising arrangements, franchise agreements or franchise disputes advantageous
Strong commercial judgment, ability to assess legal risk and provide practical, business-focused advice
Confidence dealing with senior internal stakeholders and external advisers; proactive and solutions-focused
Current Australian practising certificate and right to work in Australia
