Midlevel Associate, Insurance Recovery & Counseling — Pittsburgh

An established, national law firm is seeking a midlevel associate to join its Insurance Recovery and Counseling practice in the Pittsburgh office. The role focuses on counseling and representing policyholders in complex insurance coverage matters, including litigation and arbitration.

The successful candidate will work on coverage analysis, drafting, and advocacy in a collaborative team environment while managing competing deadlines and client-facing responsibilities. This is a practice-focused role offering substantive courtroom and arbitration exposure and meaningful responsibility on major coverage matters.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• Admission to the applicable state bar or ability to obtain admission promptly
• 2–4 years of relevant experience counseling and representing policyholders in insurance coverage litigation and arbitrations
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex policies, endorsements, exclusions, and coverage frameworks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort with client-facing work
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines, work both independently and in teams, and manage case workflow effectively
