Apply in confidence →Senior negotiator role within a growing Belfast team supporting high-volume financial services documentation. The role focuses on negotiating and executing master trading and ancillary agreements for institutional counterparties, and will operate US hours (typical shift 13:00–21:00 or 14:00–22:00).
This is a hybrid role based in Belfast with regular collaboration across legal, credit, risk and operations stakeholders. You will manage negotiation workflows through client portals, maintain up-to-date records, and help streamline processes using legal technology.
There is an expectation to mentor and upskill junior negotiators and contribute to continuous improvement of negotiation playbooks and templates.
- 3–4 years' post-qualification experience negotiating financial services agreements.
- Practical experience with master trading documentation and ancillary agreements (e.g. ISDA-style and similar market agreements) and familiarity with derivatives, securities lending and repo documentation.
- Proven ability to negotiate with institutional counterparties (banks, asset managers, hedge funds) and to manage stakeholder approvals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working US hours and in a hybrid team environment.
- Legal qualification (law degree or equivalent) preferred; experience with legal technology and process-driven negotiation is advantageous.
