Senior negotiator role within a growing Belfast team supporting high-volume financial services documentation. The role focuses on negotiating and executing master trading and ancillary agreements for institutional counterparties, and will operate US hours (typical shift 13:00–21:00 or 14:00–22:00).

This is a hybrid role based in Belfast with regular collaboration across legal, credit, risk and operations stakeholders. You will manage negotiation workflows through client portals, maintain up-to-date records, and help streamline processes using legal technology.

There is an expectation to mentor and upskill junior negotiators and contribute to continuous improvement of negotiation playbooks and templates.

  • 3–4 years' post-qualification experience negotiating financial services agreements.
  • Practical experience with master trading documentation and ancillary agreements (e.g. ISDA-style and similar market agreements) and familiarity with derivatives, securities lending and repo documentation.
  • Proven ability to negotiate with institutional counterparties (banks, asset managers, hedge funds) and to manage stakeholder approvals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working US hours and in a hybrid team environment.
  • Legal qualification (law degree or equivalent) preferred; experience with legal technology and process-driven negotiation is advantageous.
