Lead partner hire for a major international law firm’s Montreal office, focused on transactional corporate work across M&A, banking/capital markets and real estate. The role is a client-facing, rainmaking position with responsibility for originating and executing complex deals and managing senior relationships.

The team is open to experienced partners or partner-led teams with a portable practice. The successful candidate will play a leading role in business development, mentor senior associates, and help grow the local practice within an integrated global platform.

Established partner-level experience in corporate transactions (M&A) and/or finance (banking, capital markets) and real estate transactions.
Proven track record of originating and managing client relationships; portable practice or demonstrable business development capability.
Experience leading deal teams and supervising senior associates.
Comfort working within an international, multidisciplinary firm and collaborating across offices.
