Leading global law firm is seeking an experienced lateral partner to broaden and lead cross-practice corporate work from its Austin office. The role focuses on M&A and capital markets transactions, emerging-growth and technology company representation, and work in life sciences/healthcare sectors.

Ideal candidates will also have experience with technology transactions and IP-driven commercial or litigation matters, and will collaborate with national and international teams on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters. The role offers opportunity to grow an existing practice and to originate client engagements across corporate, PE, capital markets, technology and healthcare verticals.

Established partner with a track record leading M&A, capital markets or private equity transactions for corporate and emerging-growth clients
Experience advising technology, life sciences/healthcare or financial services companies; familiarity with technology transactions and IP-related commercial/litigation issues a plus
Proven business development ability and a portable practice or demonstrable client origination experience
Strong team leadership skills and ability to work with cross-office, cross-border practice groups
