Established national firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Huntsville office to lead and grow Corporate and Intellectual Property litigation work. The role will focus on M&A and corporate governance matters, patent and IP litigation, and related commercial disputes, with opportunities to collaborate across transactional and litigation teams.

The ideal candidate will have an established, portable practice and a track record of originating and closing matters; this role is client-facing and senior leadership responsibilities are expected, including mentoring junior lawyers and interfacing with cross-office teams. There is flexibility in structuring compensation for high-performing laterals.

Established partner-level experience in corporate and/or IP litigation (patent litigation experience a strong plus)
Proven track record of client origination and business development; portable book of business welcome
Experience handling complex M&A, corporate governance, or commercial litigation matters
Strong trial or litigation advocacy experience for IP disputes preferred; ability to supervise and develop teams
Bar admission in relevant jurisdiction and willingness to work collaboratively across offices
