Seeking a lateral partner to join a national law firm’s San Francisco office to help grow its corporate and intellectual property litigation capabilities. The role offers lead responsibility on high-value matters across M&A, corporate governance, emerging growth transactions and patent/IP disputes.

The partner will originate and manage client relationships, lead teams on complex deals and contested matters, and collaborate with other US offices to build cross‑practice workstreams. The position suits partners who regularly handle both transactional corporate work and contested IP matters or who lead a focused patent litigation practice.

Open to candidates with a portable practice and a demonstrated record of client development, team leadership and business growth. The firm supports flexible arrangements for senior hires and emphasizes collaboration across its national platform.

Established partner with significant experience in corporate transactions, M&A and/or intellectual property litigation (including patent litigation)
Proven client development skills and a portable book of business or the ability to bring new clients
Track record of leading deal teams and managing complex disputes
Strong business judgment, excellent communication skills, and willingness to work across offices
