Apply in confidence →Top-tier international law firm is seeking a partner to join its Washington, D.C. office to lead and grow a transactional corporate practice with strong ties to technology, emerging growth and capital markets work. The role is suited to lawyers who advise issuers and strategic/PE clients on M&A and securities matters and who can cross-sell technology and IP-related transactional work.
The successful candidate will join a multi-practice platform that also handles IP litigation and technology-related disputes, providing opportunities to collaborate with litigation and finance teams on integrated client solutions. This is a growth-focused role with scope to build a portable practice or expand existing client relationships.
- Established partner with a demonstrated corporate transactional practice (M&A, private equity or issuer-side capital markets).
- Proven experience advising technology, life sciences, financial services or other sector clients; familiarity with emerging growth/startup matters is a plus.
- Track record working across practices (technology transactions and/or IP-related matters and/or finance) and collaborating with litigation teams.
- Business development capability and a portable practice or demonstrable ability to develop client relationships in the U.S. market.
- Admission to practice and standing appropriate for partner-level practice in the U.S.; authorization to practice in D.C. preferred.
