Leading global corporate practice is seeking a lateral partner to join its Houston office to lead M&A and emerging-growth matters. The role focuses on advising strategic and financial clients on transactions across sectors, with significant responsibility for originating and managing deals.

The successful candidate will join a full-service corporate team, mentor junior lawyers, and work closely with cross-border colleagues on complex transactions. This is a client-facing, rainmaking role that combines execution with business development.

Applicants should have an established practice and the ability to bring a portable client base; the hiring team is particularly interested in candidates who can immediately contribute revenue and client relationships.

Established partner-level experience in M&A and emerging-growth/startup representation
Proven track record of originating and leading transactions and managing deal teams
Portable client relationships and demonstrable business development capability
Bar admission in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction; strong academic and professional references
