Partner — Corporate / Private Equity — Tokyo

Leading international law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Tokyo corporate practice. The role will focus on private equity, M&A and related finance matters across the region.

There is significant opportunity to develop work in fund formation, asset-backed finance and restructuring where the office is expanding capability. The team advises on cross-border transactions and complex corporate deals.

Applicants should be able to bring or develop client relationships and lead deal execution in Tokyo. A portable practice or demonstrable business origination ability is desirable.

• Established partner-level experience in corporate/private equity transactions and related finance work
• Proven track record of leading cross-border M&A, fund formation or restructuring matters
• Demonstrable client development skills; portable practice preferred
• Ability to work on high-value deals and lead multi-jurisdictional teams
