Leading global law firm is seeking a partner to join its Houston office to grow and lead corporate/M&A, capital markets, technology transactions and IP litigation capabilities. The role will involve handling complex cross-border and domestic matters, working with sector-focused teams in life sciences, technology, energy and financial services, and collaborating across multiple offices.

The ideal hire will balance client-facing deal work and practice development, take a visible role in pitching and client relationship management, and mentor more junior lawyers. The position offers the opportunity to build or expand a portable practice and to work on high‑value corporate and IP matters alongside established industry teams.

Lateral partner with a strong background in corporate transactions (M&A) and/or capital markets; experience with issuer-side work a plus.
Significant experience in technology transactions and/or intellectual property litigation or IP-related deals.
Proven client development record and ability to bring or expand a portable practice; collaborative approach to cross-office matters.
Track record advising clients in one or more target sectors such as life sciences, technology, energy or financial services; experience with complex, high-value matters.
Leadership and mentoring experience within a busy, multi-practice team.
