This position sits within a collaborative platform supporting multi-office work and cross-practice referrals. The team advises employers, plan sponsors, and trustees on ESOP design and implementation as well as broader retirement and welfare benefit issues.
The firm is looking for a senior lateral who can contribute substantive technical expertise and help grow the benefits practice in the region through client relationships and origination.
- Partner-level experience in employee benefits law with demonstrable ESOP work.
- Strong technical knowledge of ERISA, tax aspects of retirement plans, and benefits compliance.
- Proven business development skills and willingness to develop a portable practice or expand existing client relationships.
- Active California bar admission (or eligibility) and experience working with employer-side clients.
