Leading US law firm seeks a lateral partner to join and help grow its environmental and compliance practice in Houston. The role focuses on regulatory counseling, environmental permitting and land/natural resources matters, with an emphasis on California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) experience preferred.

The successful candidate will lead engagements, supervise and develop junior lawyers, and work closely with cross-practice teams on regulatory and transactional matters. This is an opportunity to join a strong platform with national reach while maintaining a Houston-based practice and client relationships.

Established partner or counsel with significant environmental and regulatory experience
Experience handling environmental permitting, land and natural resources matters; CEQA experience desirable
Track record of leading matters and supervising teams
Business development skills and ability to contribute a portable practice or cultivate client relationships
Active bar admission in the U.S.; Texas admission preferred or willingness to obtain
