Leading national law firm seeks a lateral partner to join its Des Moines office to build and lead an investment and asset management practice within the finance and corporate teams. The role will focus on advising investment managers, funds, and institutional clients on transactional, regulatory and commercial matters related to asset and investment management.

The partner will originate and manage client relationships, work collaboratively across practice groups on cross-border and domestic matters, and mentor associates. This is a business-development-facing role with opportunities to grow a portable practice and expand the firm’s presence in the region.

Significant partner-level experience advising investment managers, funds, and asset-management clients on corporate and finance matters.
Proven track record of originating and managing client relationships; portable business preferred.
Strong deal execution skills across transactions, fund formation, and regulatory/compliance matters relevant to asset management.
Bar admission in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction or ability to obtain it; excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
