Partner — Intellectual Property & Technology — San Francisco

Seeking a lateral partner to join a national IP and technology practice in San Francisco with a focus on telecommunications and life‑sciences-related matters. The role combines client-facing leadership with hands‑on legal work across IP counseling, licensing, and technology transactions.

The successful candidate will be expected to lead and grow relationships, manage and mentor junior lawyers, and contribute to firmwide cross‑practice matters. A portable practice or demonstrable business development record is preferred.

This opportunity offers partner-level responsibilities on sophisticated, often cross‑border matters supported by a broad platform and national client base.

• Partner-level experience in intellectual property and technology matters, with experience in telecommunications and/or life sciences preferred
• Proven track record of client relationship management and business development; portable practice preferred
• Experience supervising teams and mentoring associates
• Active bar admission in the United States (California admission preferred) and ability to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
