Established full-service trade practice is hiring a lateral partner to lead and grow its Canada-based trade offering from the Toronto office. The role focuses on high-value cross-border trade work, including customs, trade remedies, sanctions, export controls, anti‑corruption and treaty/investor‑state disputes.

The successful candidate will take a hands-on lead on matters, develop business, and mentor a specialist team. Equity participation is possible depending on circumstances. The group seeks a dedicated trade lawyer with a clear commercial and client-development focus rather than a part‑time or cross‑practice contributor.

Proven partner-level experience in trade law: customs, trade remedies, sanctions, export controls and anti‑corruption
Track record on treaty/investor‑state or international trade disputes preferred
Established portable practice or demonstrable business development capability
Entrepreneurial mindset with experience leading teams and originating work
Admitted to practise in Canada (Ontario admission or eligibility preferred)
