Top-tier national law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Detroit office to lead and expand an IP litigation practice focused on healthcare and life sciences clients. The role combines case leadership, business development and mentoring of junior lawyers on complex litigation matters.

The successful candidate will handle high-stakes patent and IP disputes, work closely with in-house counsel at healthcare and life-science organizations, and collaborate across practice groups. The firm welcomes candidates with a portable practice and proven ability to originate work.

Established partner-level experience in IP/patent litigation, ideally with healthcare or life-sciences matters
Demonstrated trial and appellate experience or a record of leading complex disputes
Proven business development skills and history of client origination or portable work
Ability to supervise and develop associates and work collaboratively across practices
Admission to practice in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction
