Highly regarded national law firm seeks a lateral partner to lead and grow its life sciences practice in Houston. The role combines transactional work and IP/patent matters for clients across the biopharma, medical device and diagnostics sectors.

The successful candidate will join an established, interdisciplinary team and will be expected to originate and manage matters, mentor junior lawyers, and collaborate with national practice leaders on client development and strategic matters. The hire will have significant autonomy to build a portable practice in the region.

Established partner with a focused life sciences IP and transactional practice
Proven ability to originate and manage client matters and develop business; portable book of business required
Experience with patent matters (prosecution/litigation strategy) and commercial transactions for life sciences clients
Admission to practice in Texas or eligibility to obtain admission
