Partner — Private Equity / M&A — New York

Opportunity for a partner to join a major international firm’s private equity and M&A platform. The team is expanding and the firm is actively building toward a sizeable private equity practice; there is a preference for hiring groups or partners who can grow a team.

The role is focused on leading buyout and other private equity transactions, advising sponsors and portfolio companies, and originating new business. While New York is a top priority for this hire, the practice has strong U.S. and international coverage and may involve collaboration with other U.S. and European offices.

• Established partner with a demonstrable private equity / M&A practice.
• Portable client base/book of business and a track record of origination.
• Proven ability to lead complex transactions and manage junior lawyers.
• Comfort collaborating across multiple U.S. and international offices; preference for candidates able to lead or join as part of a group.
