Leading national law firm seeking a lateral partner to join its Detroit finance team with a focus on project finance and renewable energy transactions. The role will originate and lead financings, work with sponsors and lenders, and support the firm’s expanding renewables practice in the region.

Success in this role requires a commercially minded partner who can manage complex transactions, mentor associates, and drive regional business development. The team handles a range of project finance matters including construction and term financings, tax-equity structures, and infrastructure-related financings.

Established partner-level experience in project finance and renewable energy transactions.
Track record of leading financings for sponsors, lenders or project companies and strong drafting/negotiation skills.
Proven ability to develop client relationships and bring or build a portable practice.
Experience managing teams and mentoring junior lawyers; excellent communication and business development skills.
