Seeking a lateral partner to lead and grow an Energy Tax practice within a nationally recognized law firm’s Chicago office. This role will focus on tax planning and structuring for energy clients across transactional and regulatory matters.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience counseling energy-sector clients on tax matters, a track record of originating and managing client work, and the ability to mentor and develop a team of tax lawyers.

Established partner with substantial tax experience, ideally focused on the energy sector.
Proven track record of originating or maintaining client relationships and growing a practice; portable clients or a demonstrable book of business preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax law as applied to energy transactions and structures.
Excellent leadership, business development, and mentoring skills; admission to the relevant state bar required.
