Seeking a lateral partner to lead and grow a tax-focused energy practice within a well-established law firm’s Kansas City office. The role will advise energy companies and related stakeholders on tax planning, structuring, and transactional matters.

Ideal candidates will have a demonstrable track record in energy tax work and the ability to bring or develop client relationships. The position offers partner-level responsibility for practice development, mentoring junior lawyers, and contributing to firm-wide energy and tax offerings.

Established partner with significant experience in tax matters, ideally focused on the energy sector.
Proven client-development ability; a portable practice or demonstrable book of business is desirable.
Licensed to practice in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction or able to obtain admission; experience advising corporate or project clients preferred.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience managing deal teams and cultivating client relationships.
