Leading law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Tax practice with a focus on energy-related matters. The role is based in the Palo Alto office and will advise clients on tax structuring, regulatory tax issues and transactional tax work across the energy sector.

The team handles a mix of domestic and cross-border matters for clients in traditional and renewable energy industries. The practice offers senior lawyers a platform to develop a portable practice and collaborate with multidisciplinary deal teams.

Proven partner-level experience in tax with a significant focus on energy industry matters.
Strong technical knowledge of transactional and regulatory tax issues affecting energy clients.
Track record of originating or managing client relationships; a portable practice or business development ability is welcomed.
Licensed to practice in California (or eligible for admission) and excellent communication and team leadership skills.
