Leading national law firm seeks a lateral partner to join its Chicago tax team with a focus on estate planning. The role will handle sophisticated federal and state tax issues and advise high-net-worth individuals and families on estate, gift and trust planning strategies.

The position requires a partner able to originate and grow client relationships while collaborating with tax, private client and wealth management colleagues across the firm. This is a visible role with opportunities to lead engagements and mentor junior lawyers.

Admitted to practice in Illinois (or eligible for admission)
Established partner-level experience in federal tax and estate/trust planning
Proven record of client relationship development and business generation; a portable practice is desirable
Strong technical tax skills, excellent drafting and communication abilities, and leadership experience supervising teams
