Leading national law firm seeks a lateral partner to join its San Diego tax and estate planning team. The role will advise high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses on federal and state tax matters, estate and wealth transfer strategies, and related planning.

Ideal candidate will take a partner role with responsibility for developing and growing a portable practice, mentoring junior lawyers, and collaborating across tax, trust and estates, and private client teams.

Partner-level experience in tax and estate planning matters (trusts, estates, gift/estate tax, fiduciary planning)
Admitted to practice in California; strong technical tax knowledge (federal & state)
Proven ability to originate and manage client relationships; experience building a portable practice encouraged
Excellent communication and team leadership skills; experience supervising associates
