Leading national law firm seeking a lateral partner to strengthen its tax controversy and litigation capability in Birmingham. The role focuses on handling litigation and dispute work arising from federal, state and transactional tax matters, including trial and appellate advocacy.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative team and be expected to develop and lead matters, mentor junior lawyers, and work across practice groups to service a diverse client base. Portable client relationships are welcome but not required.

Proven partner-level experience in tax controversy/litigation and courtroom or arbitration experience
Strong written and oral advocacy skills and comfort leading teams on complex disputes
Ability to originate and grow client relationships; portable book welcome
Active bar admission and ability to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
