Established national law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Phoenix office to lead and grow a tax-controversy and litigation practice. The role will involve handling complex tax disputes, coordinating litigation strategy, and working across the firm's regional platform.

The successful candidate will have a portable practice or demonstrable origination capability and will collaborate with litigation and tax teams to expand client relationships in Arizona and nationally. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to mentor junior lawyers and shape practice development.

Proven partner-level experience in tax disputes, tax litigation, or related tax controversy work
Strong trial and/or appellate experience preferred; comfort managing contested matters
Track record of originating or bringing a portable client base, with business development skills
Ability to lead teams, supervise associates, and drive practice growth in the Phoenix market
