Established law firm is seeking a Tax Partner to join its Raleigh office and lead growth of the regional tax practice. The role will involve counseling closely held and institutional clients on tax planning and structuring, and working with deal, finance and litigation teams as appropriate.

The firm is looking for a senior tax lawyer who can contribute both technically and commercially — advising on federal and state tax issues, assisting on transactions and tax controversy matters, and helping develop client relationships in the region.

Admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
Established tax practice with experience advising on federal and state tax matters; experience with transactional tax and controversy is desirable.
Proven ability to originate and develop client relationships; a portable book of business is welcomed.
Experience mentoring and leading teams; strong commercial and collaborative skills.
