Established national law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Raleigh tax practice. The role offers responsibility for leading sophisticated federal and state tax matters across corporate and transactional matters and advising a diverse client base.

The successful candidate will join an experienced team and play a central role in growing the practice locally and nationally. There is an expectation to contribute to business development and to work collaboratively on cross-practice, cross-office engagements.

Proven partner-level tax practice experience (domestic corporate and state tax matters preferred).
Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax law; relevant JD/LLM or equivalent tax qualifications.
Track record of client relationship management and business development; ability to bring or build portable work.
Bar admission and ability to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
