Partner, Tax — Washington, D.C.

Well-established national law firm is seeking a lateral partner for its Washington, D.C. tax practice. The role will focus on advising corporate and high-net-worth clients on complex federal and international tax matters and leading cross-disciplinary engagements.

The successful candidate will join an experienced tax team, take responsibility for originating and expanding client relationships, and mentor junior lawyers. There is an expectation of a portable practice or demonstrable business development capability.

• Proven partner-level tax experience advising on federal and international tax matters
• Track record of originating and developing client relationships or a portable practice
• Strong technical skills and excellent writing and communication abilities
• Experience supervising and mentoring associates and collaborating across practice groups
• Active bar admission and appropriate professional credentials (JD/LLM or equivalent)
