Seeking a technically strong patent agent/advisor to join a busy IP practice serving software and AI-focused matters. The role involves patent counseling, prosecution support, and litigation assistance across a national US platform.

Key responsibilities include conducting prior-art and freedom-to-operate searches, analyzing scientific and patent literature, drafting patent applications and office-action responses, and advising attorneys on technical issues for depositions and strategy. Law school tuition assistance is available to candidates pursuing registration.

Degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or closely related technical field
Eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam and meet requirements for registration as a patent agent
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to draft high-quality patent documents
Experience with prior-art searching, patentability and FTO analyses; familiarity with patent prosecution and litigation support
Broad CS/EE knowledge; expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning strongly preferred
