Apply in confidence →Seeking a technically strong patent agent/advisor to join a busy IP practice serving software and AI-focused matters. The role involves patent counseling, prosecution support, and litigation assistance across a national US platform.
Key responsibilities include conducting prior-art and freedom-to-operate searches, analyzing scientific and patent literature, drafting patent applications and office-action responses, and advising attorneys on technical issues for depositions and strategy. Law school tuition assistance is available to candidates pursuing registration.
- Degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or closely related technical field
- Eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam and meet requirements for registration as a patent agent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to draft high-quality patent documents
- Experience with prior-art searching, patentability and FTO analyses; familiarity with patent prosecution and litigation support
- Broad CS/EE knowledge; expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning strongly preferred
