Patent Associate — Intellectual Property

Seeking a junior patent associate with an engineering background to join a national intellectual property practice. This role is open across multiple U.S. offices (including Denver, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Wilmington).

The position focuses on patent prosecution for mechanical technologies, with occasional work on chemical/materials science matters. The team values collaboration, strong client service, and a hybrid workplace model (attorneys are asked to work from the office three days per week).

• 1–3 years of patent prosecution experience (agent or attorney).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with mechanical technologies; ability to handle chemical/materials science applications as needed.
• Admission to a state bar (or wave-in capability) and registration with the USPTO.
• Strong academic record and excellent written and oral communication skills.
