Join a national emergency services team that acts exclusively for the police service, handling pre‑litigation and litigation across civil actions against the police, data‑protection breaches and related employer’s liability matters. The team is experienced at managing sensitive and high‑profile files and advising on operational issues.

There are three solicitor vacancies (NQ–3 years PQE) to be based in Liverpool, Manchester, Leicester or Leeds. Successful candidates will receive training and support to develop across police claims, operational advice and information‑law work.

Role responsibilities include managing a mixed caseload, conducting advocacy where appropriate, liaising with insurers, experts and counsel, maintaining client MI and chargeable‑hours targets, and contributing to team training and business development. Appointment is subject to satisfactory police vetting and residency criteria.

Qualified solicitor (England & Wales), NQ to 3 years PQE.
Experience in police claims litigation, police operational advice, or Data Protection/FOI matters (e.g. DPA 2018/UK GDPR) — candidates with strength in one area will be supported to cross‑train.
Strong litigation skills across pre‑litigation and litigated matters; comfortable with procedure, evidence and advocacy.
Excellent client‑facing and stakeholder management skills; ability to manage competing deadlines and deliver MI and fee targets.
High professional judgement, discretion and resilience when handling sensitive/high‑profile matters.
