Apply in confidence →Join a well-regarded national law practice's police litigation team, acting for police forces on civil protective orders and operational advice. The role is remote-first with in-person hearings primarily in Brighton and occasional travel as required.
You will manage a high-volume caseload end-to-end, preparing applications and bundles, conducting Magistrates' Court advocacy, and providing practical advice that directly supports victim safeguarding and public protection.
The role offers structured advocacy development, ongoing professional training, and the chance to build specialist expertise in Domestic Violence Protection Orders, Stalking Protection Orders and related protective measures.
- Qualified Solicitor (NQ–5 PQE) with demonstrable interest in police law or civil protective orders.
- Experience managing a high-volume caseload, preparing court bundles and attending hearings; Magistrates' Court advocacy experience preferred.
- Ability to work remotely with strong organisation, diary control and time recording skills; comfortable working under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel for hearings in Brighton and liaise closely with police clients and counsel.
- Appointment subject to police vetting and residency criteria; right to work in the UK required.
