Post‑Clerkship Associate, Government & Public — Washington, DC

An established national law firm is seeking a post‑clerkship associate to join its Washington, D.C. Government & Public practice. The role is suited to candidates coming directly from a recent federal or state clerkship who want to build a government‑facing practice advising on regulatory, administrative, and public‑policy matters.

The position involves legal research and writing, drafting pleadings and agency submissions, preparing briefs and memos, and supporting litigation or regulatory engagements as needed. You will work on small teams with senior lawyers, engage with government and agency counterparties, and receive mentorship to develop a substantive practice.

• Recent federal or state clerkship (required)
• JD from an accredited law school; strong academic record
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction or eligibility to sit for the bar
• Interest in administrative, regulatory, and government law; strong teamwork and communication skills
