Private Equity M&A Associate (Asset Management) — Boston

A leading practice in Boston seeks a mid-level/senior associate to join its Private Equity M&A team focused on asset management transactions. The role centers on transactions involving asset managers, with particular emphasis on GP stakes work.

Day-to-day work will include leading and supporting mergers and acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity and venture transactions and exits, and equity compensation matters. The team values attorneys who can work collaboratively on large deals and independently manage portions of transactions.

Applicants should be proactive, commercially minded, and effective communicators who can manage relationships with clients and external counsel. Bar admission (or prompt eligibility) in the Boston jurisdiction is required.

• 3+ years of corporate/transactional experience, with strong asset management M&A background
• Experience on GP stakes transactions preferred
• Broad M&A experience including leveraged recaps, growth equity, venture financings and exits, and equity compensation
• Bar admission or eligibility in the Boston office jurisdiction
• Strong communication, teamwork, and client-management skills
