You will advise on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters, with a focus on OTC derivatives, ISDA documentation, and related trading agreements. You will draft, review, and negotiate contracts, manage complex transactions from inception to execution, and provide strategic counsel to trading, risk, and business stakeholders. The role requires strong commercial judgment, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a demanding setting.

A current Australian practising certificate
Minimum 5 years' PQE in derivatives and financial services law, ideally from a top-tier firm or in-house legal team
Deep experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating OTC derivatives documentation, including ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes, and confirmations
Strong understanding of financial markets, risk management principles, and relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., Dodd-Frank, EMIR, Australian regulations)
Proven ability to manage complex multi-jurisdictional transactions and deliver pragmatic, commercially sound advice under tight deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across trading, risk, and business functions
Adaptable and proactive, with capacity to handle a high volume of matters and shifting priorities
