Apply in confidence →Experienced real estate attorney needed for a southern California office to support a busy real estate practice handling both transactional and litigation matters. The role focuses on land use, entitlements, permitting and work with public agencies.
Typical work includes legal research and drafting of agreements, attending public hearings (day and evening), and advising on CEQA/NEPA, the Brown Act, Public Records Act, Subdivision Map Act and related regulatory matters. Candidates will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and agency staff on land development issues.
- California Bar membership required
- 2–7 years of real estate experience (transactional and litigation)
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Familiarity with entitlements, land use, CEQA/NEPA and public agency rules and procedures
- Experience drafting agency agreements and attending public hearings
- Working knowledge of Brown Act, Public Records Act and Subdivision Map Act
- General understanding of land planning, environmental and engineering issues affecting development
- Government relations experience is a plus
