Established national law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate for its New York RE Finance and Development team. The role offers early transactional responsibility, regular client-facing time and participation on deal teams handling financing, acquisitions, dispositions and joint venture matters.

Ideal candidates will have experience on lender-side mortgage and subordinate commercial real estate financings (including mezzanine financing and preferred equity) and/or borrower-side acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, development and construction financing. Strong drafting skills on loan agreements and joint venture agreements are expected.

Candidates must be admitted to the New York bar and have excellent academic credentials and law-firm experience. Please be prepared to submit a cover letter, resume, law school transcript and deal sheet.

3–6 years of real estate transactional experience (real estate finance, development or acquisitions)
Experience with mortgage and subordinate commercial real estate loans (mezzanine/preferred equity) and/or joint ventures, acquisitions/dispositions and development transactions
Strong drafting skills for loan agreements and joint venture agreements; construction lending or repurchase facility experience a plus
Admission to the New York bar
Excellent academic record and prior law firm experience; cover letter, resume, law school transcript and deal sheet required
