Apply in confidence →Join a busy Real Estate Finance team in Scotland as a Newly Qualified solicitor. The role offers exposure to lender-side real estate finance and distressed property work, working alongside banking, finance and restructuring specialists on domestic and cross‑border matters.
You will receive close supervision and structured training at the start of your career, with opportunities to take responsibility for parts of transactions, contribute to team knowledge-sharing and support business development activities.
Day‑to‑day work includes assisting on property security and finance documentation, reviewing and reporting on title, supporting enforcement and sale of distressed property, drafting and managing completion steps, and delivering pragmatic commercial advice to clients.
- UK‑qualified solicitor at NQ level (Scots or English qualification accepted); trainees due to qualify in 2026 are welcome to apply.
- Some experience from training seats or prior work in real estate, real estate finance, banking or restructuring is desirable but not essential.
- Comfortable reviewing title and property due diligence, preparing certificates/reports on title, and drafting/negotiating security and finance documents with supervision.
- Strong drafting, communication, organisation skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative, client‑focused approach; interest in how technology/AI can enhance legal services.
